After learning more about different careers and hearing real stories, I’ve realised that a lot of people didn’t end up where they thought they would. And that’s not a bad thing.

It means they explored, listened to themselves, and that they were open to change.

I think it’s extremely important to stay flexible. To keep learning about yourself as much as you’re learning about careers.

For me, I still love the idea of being in media. But I’m also noticing other things I enjoy. Communicating, storytelling, connecting with people. Those are skills that can show up in different paths. I love music and I that could be a way of communication and storytelling too!

And that’s comforting, because it means I’m not stuck with one option. I’m building a set of skills that can take me in different directions.

Talk to people. Try new things. Pay attention to what excites you and what doesn’t.

Your path will become clearer over time. And if those steps change later, that’s okay too.
