Then you go back to school and life continues as normal. But remember, exposure is not the finish line. It’s only the starting point!

I’ve seen this in my own journey with my T-shirt business. I’ve had moments where I’ve met designers, spoken to suppliers, and watched how real businesses operate behind the scenes. And every single time, I had to ask myself one question: what do I do with this now?

In my opinion, inspiration without action is just entertainment.

Here’s how I look at it: think of exposure like going to a gym for the first time. You can watch every machine, talk to trainers, even feel motivated, but nothing changes until you actually start training.

Let’s start breaking it down.

What part of what you saw actually interested you? Was it the creative side? The structure? The people? The pressure? Be honest with yourself. Not everything will fit you, and that’s actually helpful.

Then zoom in. What skills were being used in that space? Communication, problem-solving, design, leadership. These are not random. They are things you can start building now, even while you’re still in school.

And then comes the important part! Do something small with it. Not someday; do it now. Research it, try a mini version of it, talk to someone in that field. Start testing the waters instead of just observing them.

That’s how exposure turns into direction.

Your future doesn’t come from one big moment where everything clicks. It comes from what you do after that moment.

So don’t just collect experiences. Turn them into your game plan!
