See Youth

Start before you feel ready

Hi SEE’YOUTHSTERS! Zayn here. Let me be honest with you. You’re probably waiting for the “right time” to start.

The moment where you feel confident, prepared, and fully ready.

Yeah… that moment doesn’t really come.

If I waited until I felt ready to start my T-shirt business, I’d still be sitting on ideas instead of building something real. What I’ve learnt is this. You don’t figure things out by thinking about them. You figure things out by doing.

By now, you’ve probably been exposed to different careers, different spaces, different ways of working. That’s great. But exposure alone isn’t enough. A lot of people stop there. They get inspired, then do nothing with it.

This is where you do things differently.

If something catches your attention, go deeper. If you’re into business, try selling something small. If you like design, start creating and posting your work. If you’re curious about a career, follow people in that space and learn how they actually live and work.

It doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to start.

When I began working on my brand, not everything made sense. Some designs didn’t land and some ideas didn’t work. But every attempt taught me something, and that’s the part people don’t talk about. Your first moves aren’t about success; they’re about learning.

And mistakes? They’re part of the deal. Don’t try to avoid them. The earlier you make them, the faster you grow. Instead of stressing about getting it wrong, ask yourself, “What can I try next?”

That mindset changes everything.

You’re in a phase where you can experiment, test ideas, and explore without pressure. Take advantage of it!

At the end of the day, no one’s coming to tell you that you’re ready. You decide that.

So start messy, start small, start anyhow. Just start! You’ve got this.
