Finding your voice in the middle of uncertainty
Hey SEE YOUTH’STERS. It’s your girl, Amy. Lately, I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to compare yourself to everyone else.
Some know what they want to study, others have their whole careers mapped out. And then there’s you, still figuring things out.
It can feel overwhelming.
But something I’ve learnt this month is that clarity doesn’t come from rushing. It comes from paying attention to what feels right for you.
After seeing different careers and hearing real stories, I’ve started noticing small things. I’ve noticed what excites me and what I’m naturally drawn to. Through that, I’m realising what I can actually see myself doing every day.
I think that matters more than having a perfect answer.
I love the idea of broadcasting. I love storytelling, connecting with people, and being able to share important information in a way that feels real. But now, instead of just saying “that’s my dream,” I’m thinking about what I can do now to move closer to it.
Practising speaking, paying attention to how presenters communicate, and even just being more confident in sharing my thoughts.
It’s small, but it’s something, right?
And I think that’s the biggest shift. Realising that you don’t have to wait until after school to start becoming who you want to be.
You can start now!
So if you’re feeling unsure, don’t try to force a big decision. Start with your voice. What do you enjoy? What feels natural? What makes you curious?
Let that guide you.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to keep moving forward.
