See Youth

Stop guessing, start testing

Hey SEE YOUTH’STERS! It’s Zayn. Let’s be honest. Choosing a career at 15 or 16 doesn’t make sense.

You’re expected to pick subjects that shape your future, but most of us haven’t even seen what those careers actually look like. It’s like building a business without understanding the market. You’re guessing, and guessing is risky.

I’ve always been into entrepreneurship, so I look at things a bit differently. Before you invest time or money into something, you test it. You research. You learn from people who are already doing it.

Why should your career be any different?

That’s why I rate the idea behind Take a Child to Work. It’s basically real-world research. You get to step into a workplace, observe how things run, and see if it actually interests you. Not just the highlight reel, but the day-to-day reality.

Let’s be real, not every “cool” job is actually cool when you’re in it.

You might think you want to go into a certain field, then realise it’s not for you. That’s not failure; that’s smart decision-making. It saves you time, energy, and money in the long run.

On the other hand, you might discover something you never even considered. A role that matches your skills, your personality, and your goals.

That’s where things start to get exciting!

The more exposure you get, the better your decisions become. And better decisions lead to better outcomes. Whether you want to start a business, go into corporate, or do something completely different, clarity is your biggest advantage.

So don’t just sit with the pressure of “what am I going to do with my life?”

Go find out, because the sooner you stop guessing, the sooner you start building something real.
